No pets No drugs No smoking (of any kind) Moderate drinking (no alcoholics or party nuts) _______________ ABOUT ME (you should know who you are living with, eh?): I am a musician, recording studio owner and engineer; well-respected in many circles and genres. I am a Christian, non-smoker, non-drinker and do zero drugs. I like being mostly sober, although I do have a randy sense of humor! I have zero tolerance for drugs. As in zero. I can't be around smoke either - whether it's cigarettes, vape or pot, so that's a no-go too. Sounds like I'm a square, right? WRONG! In truth, I'm often the most charismatic person in a room - full of wit and off-color jokes, ready to engage, ready to listen, ready to help if asked, offbeat and definitely a free-thinker. I love nature and creativity and intellectual concepts and history. Politically speaking, I am a TRUE liberal; as in Classical Liberal and Constitutional Conservative. If this intrigues you, we can have many deep conversations about it. If it somehow disgusts you, MOVE ON. Thanks. LOL. I'm easy to get along with - UNLESS someone is sloppy, disrespectful, selfish or doesn't pay the rent on time. As for my Faith, I am serious about it but "non-showy" about it too. I don't HAVE to be with a Christian roommate, but it sure would help. At the very least, I want someone who has an ethical and moral compass that revolves around the 10 Commandments. You know, basic stuff like not lying and stealing. : ) I used to be strict vegetarian; now I eat fish and eggs and limited meat. I'm not crazy about bacon being cooked in my kitchen, though. I don't eat or drink junk. I like holistic teas and health concoctions and organic foods. I am very clean and organized. HOWEVER - I AM dealing with an inherited house and certain inherited problems, so certain spaces are under-organized and overcrowded right now! I often wake around 8:30 but I am super quiet if I get up before someone else. I usually tiptoe downstairs and feed the critters in my backyard lake - my squirs, chippies, birds, geese and their cute chicks - often by hand! Most of my work is from home unless I have a gig. I'm often on the computer, on the phone or recording something. I play jazz, soul, blues, bluegrass, classic R&B and rock, etc. Both the dining room and half of the living room are my recording spaces and they are FABULOUS. I would LOVE to have a fellow musician or engineer or videographer or music management student as a roomie. You could help me with my project and I could give you hands-on training you'll never get in a University. I RARELY record or practice before noon. If I need to make music earlier I usually know in advance so we can work it out. I make music almost exclusively downstairs. The house is so well-insulated, it is rarely heard upstairs. Flute, acoustic guitar are not heart. You will hear a little Sax and you will hear Drums. Even so, it is very light upstairs. __________________ ABOUT THE SPACE: Your bedroom and bath are upstairs. The bedroom is beautiful and fully decorated. It has a nice size closet (there are a few things in it I can relocate if needed). This room was always the warmest room in the house, but I just laid major insulation in the attic which changed things quite a bit, and am continuing to do things to make it even better. Your private bath is just down the hall about 5 steps away from your room, past the shared washer and dryer. It is also beautiful and has a high-quality filter on the shower. (In fact, the whole house is filtered as well, so you're getting double-filtered water; great for skin, hair and health). The kitchen is amazing with a beautiful view of the lake and the porch, with all the critters that come up all day long! I don't have a microwave but do have a fast toaster oven and four burners on the stove. I don't use stove oven until I can clean it well. The back porch is amazing. It is quiet and beautiful and full of wildlife. The front porch has a rocker and is quiet, though no view of the lake. At present the dining room and living room are a mess and mostly off-limits. I should have the living room organized in about a month, where you can watch TV on a large screen. Be patient with me - it will be amazing when it's done, with a couch / daybed, recliners and a grand piano! The carport is free enough for one car. Because of the work I do from home, I can't have visitors until I get to know who they are. So no revolving-door parties here (unless they are mine and I know every musician who is invited). : ) _____________ IN SUMMARY: The place is perfect for a Kennesaw or GSU student. I am 23 minutes from KSU. I am about 35 from GSU. I want someone responsible, neat and clean and quiet, well-employed and can pay the rent on time. I tend to get along better with women than men, but I am open to either. I am near Cooper Middle School, so you can map it out. Rent is $800 per month - but I pay ALL utilities - but in exchange I occasionally need help holding a ladder, etc. Although the rental agreement is in months, I prefer the rent paid every week at $200 per week. The rental agreement will 3 months to start; renewable if all works well. 1 month Deposit required.
