1-owner 2004 Dodge Stratus R/T Sedan - $2,250 (St. Louis)

Description

Original Owner 2004 Dodge Stratus R/T Sedan Bright Silver Metallic with a Taupe interior 2.7 V6 w/ 4spd Autostick 212k miles Factory 17” wheels, sunroof, leather interior, 6-disc CD changer, and more. 4-wheel disc brakes w/ new rear calipers, pads, rotors and brake lines in 2023. Front end rebuilt a few years ago with quick struts, control arms, balljoints, rotors and pads. Transaxle and torque converter rebuilt 22k miles ago by Transmissions to Go, new rear balljoints in 2024, new AC compressor and components in 2025. Yokohama tires have 20k miles but are wearing great and have plenty of tread. I am the original owner, purchased at Royal Gate Dodge in April 2004. I have all of the service records since that time, including the original window sticker. Apart from maintenance and minor repairs, all work has been performed by a Dodge dealer or a qualified mechanic. I use it for commuting to and from downtown St. Louis. This is a 21yr old car that has been used daily. It’s not perfect. It has rock chips, a few door dings, creaks and groans, but the AC blows cold and gets you from point A to point B in virtually any weather for a relatively cheap price. Personal property tax is $7yr, insurance is cheap, and it gets 24+mpg. Known issues: Has the typical Dodge Stratus rust in the rockers and beginning to rust on the doglegs of the front fenders. The clearcoat is delaminating on the roof, also typical of a Dodge of that era. Passenger front window goes down, but not up all the time. I simply disconnected the motor to avoid any issues. The driver seat has wear. The heater/AC control panel can be finicky at times. I know how to make it work when it acts up but suggest the next owner buys a replacement control panel. $2,250 Located just south of St. Louis County off Hwy 55. No lowball offers. Car is extremely clean for its age, never been smoked in, and is in much better shape than most cars at this price point. No check engine lights or anything of that nature. Reason for selling: I obtained a slightly newer car with very low miles to take over as my daily commuter.
