Featuring solid mahogany construction, dovetail drawers and brass campaign style hardware and accents, here is a stout writing desk by Hekman, made in U. S. A. The top is hand tooled leather. Two of the drawers have capability as hanging file drawers. The center drawer has a well for keeping writing implements and small odds and ends. Made in the solid construction of the time, which is increasingly less common today. It is heavy for its size. Hekman placard is found in the center drawer. Shows wear commensurate with age and use., various nicks, dings and scratches adding to its authentic vintage character
