The Financial & Operations Analyst iis primarily responsible for overseeing the business finance and operational analytics for the Company. Fuel Tax & Compliance • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of fuel tax reporting (IFTA and other applicable jurisdictions). • Collect, validate, and reconcile fuel usage, mileage, and tax data. • Assist in audits and ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements. Pricing & Customer Support • Develop and maintain pricing models for dedicated customers, incorporating cost inputs, market data, and operational factors. • Support customer proposals, RFPs, and renewals with financial and routing analysis. • Collaborate with account managers and, when required, present findings and recommendations directly to customers. Financial Analysis • Conduct financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making. • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for routes, customers, and operational performance. • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency. Routing & Operational Analysis • Perform route optimization and scenario modeling to evaluate cost and service trade-offs. • Analyze delivery times, mileage, and equipment utilization to support operational planning. • Partner with dispatch and operations teams to identify efficiencies. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, or related field. • 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, operations, or logistics (transportation industry preferred). • Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data modeling). • Ability to learn new financial, operational, and routing systems quickly. • Exposure to programming/statistical tools (Python, R, SQL, or similar) is a plus. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support both internal stakeholders and external customers. • Ability to work on-site and collaborate across departments. Designs and implements solutions which operate efficiently, generate a minimum of support calls, and result in few or no emergency actions after deployment. • Architects and directs the implementation of remote service solutions including cloud-based D/R systems, cellular backups, VPNs, remote access for staff, vendor communication, Internet, and site-to-site connections. HotBed Technologies, Inc. is currently in search of experienced AV Engineers, data/voice cabling Installers, Project Managers, Purchasing reps, Pre-Sales engineers, Account Managers and installation subcontractors for our projects in the Northern VA, MD and the DC area. Installer positions available for working either as a full-time employees or by the hour, during normal working hours for ongoing projects we are involved in. AV Engineers should have hands on experience running AV cable, terminating connectors, mounting TV's and Projectors, installing speakers, mics, amps, mixers, control systems, programming, etc.. LV Installers: Experience with cabling projects for Cat6, fiber, coax cable required. Experience running and terminating Cat6 cable a requirement. Experience with punching down patch panels, jacks and testing also required. Should be able to operate a Hilti Gun for j-hooks and bundle consolidation and use a Fluke Tester. Fiber experience a plus. Full-time Installer positions will involve work during normal hours and at times after hours and on weekends. Must have your own basic tools and transportation. PT Installer weekly workload could be 20 to 40 hours to start with the goal of making this a full-time position over time.
