Description

Experienced Family Law Attorney – Hybrid/Remote Option We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our growing team and take on a steady stream of family law cases. This is a full-time position with flexibility for a hybrid or off-site work arrangement. About Us We are a well-established, client-focused law practice in Southwest Washington with a reputation for providing compassionate, effective representation. Our team culture prioritizes both professional excellence and personal well-being. We believe lawyers are at their best when they can balance their dedication to clients with their own lives outside of work. We currently serve clients in family law, criminal defense, and personal injury matters. To meet rising demand, we are looking for another attorney who is ready to step into a strong flow of family law cases. With the right person, there may also be room to expand into complementary practice areas, such as estate planning. Our usual counties of practice inclue Cowlitz, Clark, Pacific, and Lewis. Your willingness to handle matters in other counties will be considered and we may accommodate expansion. Although the map shows our office in the middle of the Columbia River, we do have a comfortable office. Legitimate inquiries will be provided with additional information. What We Offer • A strong referral and advertising pipeline ensuring immediate work in family law. • Hybrid or off-site flexibility with opportunities for on-site collaboration as desired. • The ability to focus on practicing law without the burden of firm management. • Support staff resources, including bilingual team members. • Competitive profit-sharing compensation with significant income potential. • Benefits, including health coverage, available after an initial period. We value: • Compassion, respect, and empathy for clients and colleagues. • Zealous but reasonable advocacy. • Integrity, diligence, and clear communication. • Innovation in practice and efficiency with technology. • Humor, patience, and grace under pressure. • Teamwork and mutual support, balanced with independence and self-motivation. Qualifications: • Licensed to practice in Washington, in good standing. • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. • Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling family law matters. • Supervisory experience a plus. • Candidates with a strong family law background will be considered for partner level profit-sharing compensation. • Willing to consider of-counsel arrangement for solo attorney with extensive experience looking to simplify but expand access to clients in SW Washington. • Strong communication, writing, and research skills. • Must have access to a vehicle at any time needed for transportation to several SW Washington counties for court appearances, other proceedings, and meetings with clients. • Oregon license a plus. • Spanish language skills a plus. The Right Fit - We are looking for a personable, motivated attorney who: • Wants the flexibility of hybrid work while maintaining meaningful client contact. • Is ambitious to build a rewarding and profitable practice without sacrificing quality of life. • Sees value in working as part of a supportive team while also thriving independently. Compensation This is a profit-sharing role, not a salaried position, though a very modest stipend may be considered for startup. If you have experience with this structure—or are confident in your ability to build a thriving practice with our support—we’d love to hear from you. How to Apply We will reply to letters of interest from qualified parties with more specific firm details and a link to our website. To apply, please send your: • Resume with educational background, work history, and professional memberships. • Cover letter telling us why this opportunity resonates with you, your relevant experience, and what you are looking for in your next professional chapter. • Acknowledgment that you understand this is a profit-sharing arrangement rather than a salary-based position. Additional information, including writing samples, may be requested from qualified applicants. This position is open immediately and will remain available until filled. Principals only.
