About Us We are a Vancouver-based family business seeking an experienced service technician specializing in roof cleaning, deck construction/repair, and exterior home maintenance. The ideal candidate will grow into a lead role within 3–6 months, eventually managing their own truck and possibly working with a helper. ________________________________________ Key Requirements • Completion of a criminal background check and drug screening prior to hiring. • Zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. o Must have clean driving record to be insured to drive our commercial trucks. ________________________________________ Primary Duties • Roof Cleaning: Safely operated ladders (up to 40’), fall restraint systems, and equipment such as leaf blowers, manual brushes, and chemical sprayers. • Deck Construction & Repair: Assist in the repair, rebuilding, and construction of residential decks, including demolition, framing, installation, sanding, staining, and sealing. Must be able to safely operate power tools and follow construction best practices. • Pressure Washing: Clean concrete, siding, decks, fences, storefronts, and more using professional equipment and detergents. • Gutter Cleaning: Remove debris manually while utilizing fall restraint systems. • Window Cleaning: Perform manual and water-fed cleaning, including removing and reinstalling screens. ________________________________________ Physical Requirements • Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions year-round. • Physical strength to lift heavy items (e.g., ladders up to 90 lbs). • Ability to bend, squat, stoop, and perform repetitive motions. • Mandatory use of safety gear such as goggles, respirators, and fall restraint systems. ________________________________________ Work Schedule • Flexible hours with most work conducted Monday–Friday, 7 am–6 pm. • Minimum of three nightshifts per year (typically clustered). Additional night & weekend work may be required. ________________________________________ Skills & Qualifications • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and coworkers. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written). • Professional appearance, will be provided with a uniform (pants/polo/t-shirt). • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Skills) • 2+ years of experience in roof cleaning, pressure washing, or deck construction. • Proven carpentry skills, including use of saws, drills, sanders, and related tools. • Mechanical skills for maintaining equipment. • Experience in the roofing, gutter cleaning, or window cleaning industries. • Customer service and sales experience in the home services sector. ________________________________________ Summary This role requires a reliable, skilled technician dedicated to providing exceptional service.
