Must have experience installing underground wet utilities including water, sewer, and storm systems. Duties and Responsibilities • Drive, operate and maneuver heavy equipment • Read and understand plans and specifications • Read and properly interpret survey grade stakes • Always operate equipment safely including operating equipment in the vicinity of underground and overhead utilities (communication, power, natural gas, etc.) to avoid damage and injury • Properly maintain equipment including daily pre and post inspections and daily greasing • Safely operate power tools (demo saws, compaction equipment, generators, air compressors, etc.) • Work safely at all times, observing all company policies, OSHA Regulations, and site-specific requirements and policies • Must have a collaborative attitude and willingness to perform any work that is required including general labor tasks which may include shoveling, lifting, etc. • Must be able to work overtime including Saturdays • Competent Person Training in excavation preferred, not required • Other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Must be physically fit and able to perform construction labor activities including: frequent use of hands, arms, legs and whole body; long periods of balance, standing or sitting; frequent walking, climbing, bending and/or lifting; constant handling of material used during the pipe installation process; heavy lifting, moving, dragging, or connecting objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
