Brewery Taproom Bartender/Server – No Experience Necessary (Fairfax City, Virginia)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager (knowledge of English, Russian or Ukrainian) to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires effective team management, inventory control, and a passion for the culinary arts. Duties Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and service. Train, develop, and manage staff to maintain an efficient and motivated team. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for cash handling and transaction processing. Implement effective budgeting strategies to optimize restaurant profitability. Foster a positive dining experience through excellent customer service and hospitality management. Conduct interviews and hire new staff members as needed. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations. Handle shift management responsibilities, including scheduling and staff assignments. Skills Proven experience in restaurant management or similar roles within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and production techniques. Experience in quick service & fast food restaurants as well as fine dining establishments is preferred. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Proficient in cash handling and financial management practices. Strong organizational skills with experience in inventory control and kitchen management. Ability to provide training & development opportunities for staff members. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest experiences. Background in culinary arts or hospitality management is advantageous. Familiarity with banquet services, catering operations, bar management, coffee experience, or barista skills is a plus. Part time. Weeknight evenings and must have Saturday and Sunday availability including some holidays. Most shifts are under 4 hours. Free garage parking and employee shift meal. Seeking someone who is fully committed to their work schedule, able to arrive on time for every shift and be able to multi-task and prioritize their duties. Are you open to taking direction and to working with others as a team? We hire friendly personalities with a well-groomed appearance and a helpful, can-do attitude! Duties include clearing, wiping and resetting tables, including the outside patio. Closing or opening patio seating by moving furniture and putting away seat cushions. Sweeping floor and under tables as needed, restock and tidy restrooms and other duties as assigned. Physical stamina to lift and carry serving trays, glass racks and bus tubs, up to 50 lbs. We open daily at 11:30am. On Friday and Saturday, we close at 9pm. Sunday through Thursday we close at 8pm. The COVE is closed on Mondays as well as Super Bowl Sunday, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Years Day. We offer competitive pay, tip share, paid time off, and free garage parking.
