Hook & Line is a fun and lively modern seafood eatery in downtown Santa Cruz. The restaurant provides a unique take on responsibly sourced seafood, with an ingredient-driven menu created by the celebrated Chef Santos Majano. Our beverage program showcases small production spirits, seasonal cocktails, craft beers, and organic and biodynamic wines produced with minimal intervention. We are currently looking to fill the following positions: LINE COOKS Requirements: - Passion for food, with a desire to learn more about sustainable food practices -At least one year of recent experience in a fast-paced restaurant is preferred -Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to think quickly on your feet -Have a flexible schedule, weekend availability, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new things Compensation: Based on experience (competitive pay + tips) PT BARTENDER We are seeking a dedicated, team-oriented individual to join our bar team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food and hospitality and shares our common goals of refinement and the integrity of service. At Hook & Line, bartenders are expected to uphold high service standards, stay curious about beverage culture, and contribute to a smooth and collaborative service environment.This is an excellent opportunity to join a great working culture in a unique, dynamic and fast-paced environment. QUALIFICATIONS 1+ years bartending experience in a a fast-paced, cocktail-driven environment Solid knowledge of classic and modern cocktail techniques Genuine interest and growing knowledge of spirits Showcase a passion for food, wine, spirits, and hospitality, with a desire to continually expand knowledge Genuine enjoyment of working with people Ability to communicate, anticipate and meet the needs of guests and fellow staff Energetic, and detail oriented Daily punctuality and attentiveness Common goals of excellence and refinement Team mindset and respect for coworkers and guests RBS certification and California Food Handler’s Card required Compensation is $17/hour + tips.
