We are currently looking for a Substation Physical Engineer from 0 to 5 years of experience. Duties Assist with create/modify detailed design for Substation: Control building (relay panels, facilities, cable raceways, trays, etc.) Busbar and strain bus Equipment & support structures Assembly drawings Cables and connectors Lightning protection and lighting Grounding grid Conduit and tranches Perform basic calculations such as: Grounding Lighting and lightning Cable ampacity Tray sizing Trench sizing Conduit sizing Assist project manager to develop scope of work and conceptual design for the projects; Communicate and coordinate project activities with project manager, client, and others as needed; Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of one's work; Requirements A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or Civil is preferred. 0 to 5 years of experience in Substation Physical design. Willing to pursue PE license in NY and NC. Desired knowledge of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), NERC, NEC, NESC, NEMA, and ANSI standards used in designing substation is critical. Periodic travel, ability to visit project sites. We currently seeking a Safety Specialist within our Building Engineering division for various construction and civil projects throughout New York State. Our LaBella safety team provides safety management services and training to clients for all industries and markets. This position would report to our Latham, NY safety manager. This safety position is highly dynamic and requires long term travel assignments. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with our client's management team, safety staff and labor to assure on-site safety compliance. The position will be located on one of our client's project sites and have the ability to guide, lead and provide corrective actions, as needed. This will be a part time role. Kumi Construction Management Corporation is seeking an Environmental/Stream Inspector to provide the following services: RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform site visits to inspect facilities and projects for compliance with local, state, and federal environmental laws and ordinances. • Perform detailed site assessments, using methods like photo documentation to track changes over time, • Oversee construction activities, such as grading, plantings, and in-stream structure installation, to ensure that the natural stream functions are restored effectively • Assess key features such as vegetation and erosion, and using protocols to monitor restoration progress against pre-restoration conditions. • Providing guidance during construction near or within the boundaries of wetlands, streams, and other environmentally/culturally sensitive areas and habitats • Documenting compliance with the conditions of any environmental permit required by federal, state, and local agencies. • Maintaining daily and weekly status reports and providing these reports to the project manager and/or agency officials as requested. • Investigate reports of suspected violations, illegal dumping, or pollution incidents. • Inform individuals and organizations of their non-compliance, explain corrective actions, and participate in enforcing environmental laws and ordinances. • Prepare daily summaries, site diagrams, and comprehensive reports for submission to supervisors and online reporting systems. • Educate the public, businesses, and other stakeholders on environmental regulations and best practices. • Prepare and adhere to health and safety plans and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for themselves and others. REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. • Proficiency with environmental sampling equipment, monitoring devices, and data management tools. • Analyze technical data and interpret environmental regulations. • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical information and findings. • Maintain records and managing fieldwork. • Familiar with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
