Our Line Cooks are vital members of our kitchen team, responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations. As a Butcher at The Local General Store, you will be at the cutting edge of whole animal butchery in Hawaii. You will work with whole carcass beef, pork, venison, lamb, and chicken from local ranchers. Using knives, saws, meat grinders and other tools, you will break each carcass down, weigh and portion a variety of raw cuts of meat while following Department of Health sanitation guidelines. With this meat, you will also be creating an eye-catching display to entice customers. You must also be willing to carve out time to engage with customers about our meats and what sets us apart.
