As a Mad Scientist, you will lead students through an inquiry-based discovery method involving instructor demonstrations, hands-on activities, and amazing take-home projects that will illustrate how science affects the world around us. You do NOT need to be a certified teacher (although we love that!). We are working with 5 new schools in the Palmdale area! This is a SHORT-TERM CONTRACT with the potential to extend. Monday, October 6th - Friday, December 12th - Must be available to begin immediately - Must be available to come in-person to Glendale warehouse every other week for material exchanges Pay for all Areas of Business (AOB) is hourly - including set-up and clean-up time. Responsibilities: - Facilitating in-person workshops and after-school science enrichment programs for children from preschool through elementary school - Deliver high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on programming - Meet bi-monthly to exchange class materials in Los Angeles - Attend paid training sessions. - Be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. - Be on time for all scheduled activities. - Adhere to strict safety and cleanliness guidelines.
