Role Description We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior/Lead Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be a key member of the software engineering team, building our key functionality and integrating with key partners. You will have ownership in key software feature areas and their architectural design, as well as software implementation with a high level of independence and impact. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create robust, user-friendly applications that drive the efficiency and effectiveness of biologists and researchers in their scientific endeavors. Requirements 10+ years of experience designing, building, and operating complex, highly scalable, distributed applications and systems 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with React/TypeScript/JavaScript/NodeJS Experience with both relational databases (e.g., Postgres) and NOSQL (e.g., MongoDB) Knowledge of Kubernetes and Cloud infrastructure/deployment tools (specifically with cluster operations and operators) Has built platforms from an early stage Has scaled platforms to handle many users (10,000+ DAU) Has extensive system-design experience Has experience designing systems with complex datasets/relations Has experience working with distributed systems/platforms Thinks about architecture first and how the code fits in second Has experience working with/implementing a multi-tenant system Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive Ability to work both independently and on a team Experience working in high-energy startups with fast product delivery mechanisms Must work onsite at least 3 days a week

The Local Peasant, (two (2) valley locations) is looking for an EXPERIENCED Sous Chef. Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our fast-paced kitchen at The Local Peasant, a local hotspot known for its fresh, seasonal dishes and exceptional service. If you have experience in a high-volume kitchen, and the ability to lead a team, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will work closely with our Head Chef, assist in menu development, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation. The Sous Chefs responsibility is to oversee all kitchen operations from opening - closing shift, including supervision of all kitchen staff and staffing levels, safety and sanitation and made from scratch food production related activities. The Chef ensures that the shift is run in a smooth manner with a focus on "Quality" while attending to any unexpected problems or emergencies that may arise. Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Sous chef oversees kitchen operations during a shift and is responsible for about 15-18 staff (line/prep/dish) within the kitchen. Our Chef builds the quality and morale of our kitchen staff The sous chef maintains food quality and safety standards, overseeing all phases of food procurement, production and service, including, inventory and ordering, storage and rotation, food preparation, recipe adherence, plate presentation, and service and production time standards. Our Chef achieves these standards through daily line checks and food reviews, response to guest feedback/scores, ongoing maintenance/housekeeping, and staff training/supervision. Qualifications Must have 3+ years of lead/sous chef kitchen experience in a full service, moderate to high volume restaurant.
