Interbay Wood and Metal, supports architecturally significant residential and commercial projects, providing custom kitchens, casework, stairwells, soaking tubs, bars, furniture, doors, and other specialty objects. Our wood shop is FSC certified. Candidate Requirements: • 3-5 years of finishing experience in a production environment. • Strong attention to detail. • Experience with color matching and adjusting tints/ shade coats. • Bleaching and cerusing. • Refined standards for quality, craft, aesthetics. • Perform prep surface pre-treatment, conditioning, and cleaning as required (sanding, chemically, mechanically) to prepare wood and/ or metal and surfaces for stain, clearcoat, paint, or patina application. • Monitor quality throughout finishing process steps and report issues to leadership as they arise. • Excellent time management, problem solving, planning, and judgment skills. • Excellent communication skills, including asking questions and finding teachable moments. • Must be team player with exceptional work ethic always looking to improve. • Experience with air assisted, HVLP and gravity fed spray equipment. • Cleanliness. • Ability to establish priorities, goals, deadlines and meet them. • Ability to be flexible, shifting priorities and projects as needed. • Interest in growing a career at Interbay. In this role – you would be assisting the superintendent with any needs on the project that may require basic – finish carpentry skills, including but not limited to installation of panic hardware, hanging doors, installing acoustical ceiling, reading plans, cleaning the project site, and working without supervision. Our typical work weeks are 8-hour days Monday through Friday.
