This role involves working on various construction sites, where you will be responsible for insuring plumbing systems are installed or repaired correctly. The successful candidate will be comfortable using hand tools and power tools, reading blueprints, and supervising the team as needed. Responsibilities Ensure plumbing systems are installed and repaired in residential and commercial buildings. Aid in the assembly of installing pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints to understand plumbing layouts and specifications. Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or necessary repairs. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and HVAC technicians. Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment on construction sites. Requirements License and Proven experience as a plumber or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plumbing tasks. Facilities Maintenance Technician - HVAC Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 Starting Salary Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience The State Corporation Commission (SCC) seeks a customer-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our facilities. Joining an existing team of facilities staff, the Facilities Maintenance Technician will assist in day-to-day activities operations of SCC facilities (mainly our Tyler Building) and perform facilities operations support, including renovations, preventative maintenance services, repairs, and new system installations in the areas of HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting, waste management, and general maintenance. The selected candidate for this position must work on-site and the position does not offer telework options.
