Many of our clients are groomed or bathed at home by their parents who may find it difficult to safely trim their nails. In addition, we service many elderly or anxious fur-friends who may find it easier to have us come to them, or who have been asked to leave grooming salons or vets for being too excited/stressed. With the proper technique, and a focus on our client’s comfort, we keep up with their nail care and provide a much more relaxing and positive experience.   About the Job:   The role will require use of your own car to drive to each clients house and perform a nail trim and/or grind as well as any additional services they request (ear cleaning, pad moisturizing, pad shaving). Most clients are on a repetitive schedule allowing them to get to know you and become more comfortable with the services. This role will require working our pop up events. We currently have a 3hr pop-up every Saturday from 12-3pm. Additionally, we try and attend any and all pet centered events around Ventura & Los Angeles County. The pop ups are a great way to gain new clients by providing information about our services as well as providing services on-site during these events. We are looking to fill three shifts a week with hours ranging from 16-20hrs per week. The working hours are: Friday (10am-6pm) and Saturday (8am-4pm). As the company grows, so will the opportunity for more hours.   What we are looking for:   Our ideal candidate loves animals and is confident reading their body language to understand their needs and discomforts. Communication and education surrounding nail care is vital in our relationships with our clients pawrents; being able to effectively communicate is a necessary skill for this role. We are a small team and want to find passionate people that have a desire to provide quality care for the animals of our community, as well as grow with the company. Responsibilities: Maintain all work equipment in good standing and utilize company magnets when working. Drive to the client's home & perform nail trim services (appointments are typically less than 15-20 minutes from arrival to payment.) Uphold safety standards and follow procedures for nail trimmings. Provide excellent customer service & ensure the well-being of clients during nail trims. Accept payment for services provided and reschedule/confirm next routine appointment Assure all tools are charging and prepared for the next shift. Qualifications: Valid driver's license with a clean record (no driving tickets or accidents in the last 3 years). Reliable mode of transportation to get to and from appointments daily. Previous experience working with animals, preferably as a vet tech, dog groomer, or similar role - Must already know how to trim and grind nails. Must be able to be on the ground with larger dogs, bend to accommodate smaller dogs, have the ability to lift 40lbs, and walk from car to house/apartment repeatedly throughout the day, including the ability to climb stairs daily. Comfortable using technology & the ability to learn our booking software. Benefits: First two weeks of training are paid at $16.50/hr. After completing training, pay raises to $19-$21/hr (based on experience) + tips. Tips are not guaranteed, but we’ve seen them range from $5 - $20/hr. Bathtub Refinishing Technician Looking for motivated person capable of working by themselves. Detail oriented and hard working. Refinishing or spray-painting experience helpful but will train. Good driving record, bondable. Work is in residential and commercial properties throughout Central and Eastern Mass. Typical work week is less than 40 hours. Monday- Friday. Arrive at first job @ 8AM-9AM. Usually 1-3 jobs per day. When you're done, you're done! We refinish bathtubs, fiberglass, ceramic tile. Similar to car painting. $800/week paid training to start.
