Our company is seeking a CA Licensed Diesel Mechanic to join our team. While this role focuses on diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, our ideal candidate is also comfortable working as a technician who can diagnose and repair technology issues in newer trucks. In addition to making repairs, you will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on diesel engines, brakes, transmission, and other systems. Applicants need a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. Diesel Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities • Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines • Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems • Perform preventative maintenance • Perform welding or fabrication tasks on trailers and other equipment as necessary • Prepare work orders and order parts • Maintain a clean and safe workplace Diesel Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications • High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred) • Valid driver's license (CDL Required) • California Licensed Diesel technician or mechanic (Required) School Completion Certificates are not a License. • Experience with diesel engine repair • Some welding experience required • Mechanical skills • Basic computer skills • Basic math skills

Able to work independently and strong customer service skills. In addition to the normal responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician, the Lead Maintenance Technician will take on the additional responsibility of filling in for the Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager if they are unavailable. Minimum of 3+ years of residential property maintenance required. Must live within 30 minutes of Ayer for rotating on-call and have a valid driver’s license and own transportation. $150 premium paid for all week’s that you are on-call, additionally you are paid a time and a half rate for any emergency calls plus travel time.
