Blackhawk Construction, LLC is a local general contractor servicing the Phoenix Metropolitan area. Much of our work is large scale multifamily/apartment renovations. We renovate entire apartment complexes, which typically includes all apartment interiors and common areas, as well as varying degrees of exterior scope. We self-perform interior demolition, cabinet installations, door installs, finish carpentry, drywall repairs, trash-out, and miscellaneous fixture installations. We are seeking permanent, full-time team members with a strong sense for quality and attention to detail. We offer a fast paced, quality driven environment. Applicants must have experience within the construction field and with most, if not all, of the trades listed above. Candidates must also have reliable transportation, standard tools, and be able to pass necessary pre-employment requirements including background check and substance screening. Ability to meet lifting requirements of up to 50lbs is a must. Applicants must be physically able to perform all job duties. Benefits include sick time, vacation time, paid holidays, and health insurance. Pay is $25+ per hour depending on experience. We’re looking for a reliable team player who has knowledge of multiple types of commercial irrigation systems. We have unlimited growth potential for the right candidate. Specific roles and responsibilities include: • Experience installing backflows to existing irrigation systems. • Troubleshoot and Repair irrigation mainlines, valves, sprinkler heads, etc. Including digging, trenching etc. • Install new irrigation systems from start to finish, when needed. • Adjust and program various timers & clocks. • Recognize drainage deficiencies and problematic soils and provide solutions. • Properly mark and rope off any open holes or hazards to protect tenants from getting hurt. • Use required personal protective equipment necessary to perform the job. • Consistently provide excellent workmanship to avoid warranty issues. • Properly clean up all site work and make sure all equipment is removed from the site. • Solid knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers and pipe sizing are also essential. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. Familiar with software to read and create site maps, colored charts/legends is a plus. REQUIREMENTS • A valid Driver’s License - you must drive company vehicles in a safe manner at all times and make sure that all equipment is stored and secured for transport to avoid damage or theft.
