Overview We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers and team members. The Driver will be responsible for ensuring safe and timely transportation while maintaining the vehicle cleanliness. Duties Operate vehicles safely and efficiently. Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers according to scheduled routes. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met. Maintain accurate records of trips, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents that occur during driving duties. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while promoting safety on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any changes. Experience Familiarity with paratransit services is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required; additional certifications for specific vehicle types may be necessary. POSITION SUMMARY:  Our Retail Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering Buchheit’s WOW customer experience by safely loading, delivering, and unloading Buchheit Retail store merchandise, according to the loading slip, to the customer's location. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect and safely operate Retail Store Delivery vehicle. Adhere to DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations and company policies. Receive, record, and route customer orders/changes as appropriate. Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves. Load materials onto vehicles or trailers. Secure cargo to prevent shifting/damage in transit. Deliver to customer at construction sites, personal homes, farms, etc. May operate forklift or industrial truck to move merchandise and materials. Adhere to Loss Prevention, inventory control, and compliance procedures. Maintain Safety awareness for hazards to employees or customers. Effectively communicate with customers, team members and managers. Demonstrate initiative and effective problem-solving skills. Work in a fast-paced environment.
