Intermodal / Container CDLA Local Company Driver AUTOMATION CENTER LLC Full job description Looking to add CDLA drivers for 3 of our company trucks. You will be handling daily container work out of the Detroit rails (CSX, CN, CP, NS).
Experience with the depots, rails, and knowing how to handle common issues with intermodal equipment (20' / 40' chassis, triaxles tandems, etc.) is a major plus. - Home daily - A typical work week is Monday through Friday (Sat & Sun is optional). - Local + Regional intermodal / container deliveries (deliveries within a 300 mile radius) - Experience with intermodal / container work is a highly preferrable - 2+ years of experience - 1099 great pay or W2 - weekly check varies how much you work currently drivers average $1000 - $2000. - Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past 2 years. Responsibilities * Operate a tractor-trailer to transport containers and freight safely and efficiently within the local area. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. * Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate with dispatch for delivery updated or any issues. * Train / Learn all the operating guidelines for intermodal depots and rails. Summary As an Intermodal / Container CDLA Local Company Driver, you will be essential in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, your core skills in truck driving and commercial driving will be vital for navigating local routes efficiently. Your premium skills in handling manual transmissions and various trailer types will enhance your performance. With relevant experience in delivery driving and freight handling, you will contribute significantly to our operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining our high standards of service in a fast-paced environment.
