Security/Barback - Busy Beer Bar (Long Beach, CA)

Job Duties – Barback/Security Guard Security Responsibilities - Greet guests at the entrance and check IDs to ensure legal drinking age compliance. - Monitor guest behavior inside and outside the premises to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. - Keep a constant presence in bar, front of bar, and back parking lot - De-escalate conflicts calmly and professionally; remove disruptive guests when necessary. - Maintain clear communication with bartenders and management about potential issues. - Assist bartender with Last Call - Flip chairs, stools & benches up at closing Barback Responsibilities - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including wiping counters, collecting empty glasses, and disposing of trash. - Glassware should be brought to the bar - Food baskets and condiment bottles brought back to kitchen - Change kegs and ensure draft lines are functioning properly. - Remove all empty kegs once the keg change has been completed and placed outside the walk-in - Support bartenders during busy periods by helping with checking IDs General Expectations - Provide friendly, attentive, and professional customer service. - Work as part of a team to ensure efficient bar operations. - Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professionalism at all times. - Shift times: 8:00pm – 2:15am - Uphold the bar’s policies regarding alcohol service, safety, and guest conduct. - No glassware or alcoholic beverages may exit the doors of the bar - Ensure that there is no smoking, vaping, or drug use going on in the bar and its surrounding outside areas - No graffiti or tagging allowed
