Lucky You Orchards is a 4th generation, certified organic family farm in Ripon, CA. Every fall, our apple orchard becomes a local destination, and we’re looking for warm, reliable, and fun-loving folks to help us welcome guests during our Organic Apple U-Pick season! We are a family owned, full-service Meat Proccessing Plant, that is looking for a full-time person (or even a couple part-time people) to join our small team. Hours are 4-10 hour shifts, Monday - Thursday, 6am-4pm, with paid lunch. Starting salary is $18/hour with increases dependent on skills, how fast you learn, dependability and reliability. Training is provided. Duties include using a knife and operating a cryovac machine. You will cut, de-bone, trim, grind meat into burger and process large sections of meat, into smaller, retail-ready cuts like steaks and chops. Key responsibilities include inspecting meat for quality, weighing, packaging, labeling, maintaining sanitation and equipment. Duties may also include operating a band saw and hand saw. Hair Nets (or hats), beard nets, meat coats, rubber boots, knives are required and provided.

The Taconic Hotel, in Manchester, VT, is looking for a part-time (or full-time) Front Desk Agent to join our team. What You'll Do: The Guest Service Agent is responsible for registration and check-out, PBX operations, mail and message service all the while providing outstanding service to our guests along the way. You'll act as an advocate for the hotel, be a creator of ridiculously personal experiences, and develop relationships with guests that will compel them to return. Some of your responsibilities include: • Review arrivals noting special requests, blocking rooms as needed. • Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner. • Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information. • Complete all items on appropriate (AM, PM, Overnight) checklist by end of shift. • Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, which includes VIPS, repeat guests, all packages, and any special requests. • Follow established key control policy. • Ensure proper credit policies are followed. • Submit all lost & found articles accompanied by a completed lost & found report. • Open, secure, and balance out daily shift bank which involves counting and verifying cash, check, and credit card transactions occurring while on duty. • Verify credit limit report. • Monitor room availability throughout the day. • Review daily the selling status of the hotel using yield management system. • Attend department meeting once a month. • Communicate by telephone and/or radio with other departments: Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet. Must be willing to have a flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed. The ideal candidate will have excellent housekeeping skills (or willingness to be trained in a fast paced enviroment), good communication, be detail oriented and the ability to follow instructions. Must be able to work independently as well as with a team of other housekeepers without direct supervision in a timely manner while upholding high company standards. Experience in vacation homes and residential cleaning preferred but willing to train the right person. Must be able to make beds, clean kitchens/baths, handle laundry, use regular cleaning products and equipment safely. High school diploma/GED required and must be able to pass thorough background check if requested to do so.
