Full & Part Time Diesel Mechanic

Contact: 504-702-8805 Job Description: We are in need of a good DIESEL MECHANIC to conduct regular scheduled PM's, diagnose and repair major/minor truck components for newer model Peterbilt's & KWs; Dump Trucks & Tractor-trailer equipment. Expectations: Possess the ability to diagnose and repair the following with little to no supervision: *Engine *Clutches *PTO Systems *Electric Systems *Hydraulic/ Air Brake systems *Heating/ Air Conditioning Systems *Trap System *Instruments and Gauges *Preventive Maintenance Service Qualifications for this positions: -Minimum of 5 years experience with tractor/trailer maintenance -Vocational/Technical or certification required -Proficiency in the use of shop tools & diagnostic software required -Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems -Weekday, & weekend work Orders Job Type: Full-time & Part-time Pay: Hourly or Salary (TBD) Schedule: *On call *Weekdays / Afternoons *Weekend availability *Ability to commute/relocate: Chalmette, LA 70043: Reliably commute or planning to relocate Experience: Diesel engine repair: 3 years (Required) Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (Preferred) License/Certification: CDL - preferred, but not required Vocational/Technical/Certification/Work Experience: (Required) Work Location: On site & Road calls
