Legion Solutions is seeking an entry-level laborer / runner to be based out of our Martinez, CA office to complement our Corrosion Engineering and Integrity Management Team. Working experience in cathodic protection, coating inspection, pipeline inspection, mechanic, etc. is a plus but not required – compensation will be considered based on experience. Job Description and Duties • Drive to and from job sites to pick up/deliver materials with a pick-up truck and a trailer, as needed • Forklift operation experience preferred • Maintain equipment and work vehicles when not in service • Assess issues and problems in the field and respond accordingly under the direction of senior engineers and/or supervisor • Maintain client relationships with the goal of meeting customer expectations • Assist team members in testing and assessing cathodic protection systems • Gather field data including but not limited to structure-to-soil potentials, soil resistivity, continuity, rectifier output, anode output, etc. • Operate equipment such as rectifiers, insulation flange tester, pipe locator, portable current source, field computer, etc. • Tabulate and organize field data • Assist Office Manager and other team members processing data on a computer using MS-Word and Excel. • Work in compliance with technical, safety and compliance procedures and guidelines Minimum Qualifications • High-school diploma or greater • Must be able to prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively under time constraints. • Ability to tailor communications to everyone from the Janitor to managers/supervisors. • Exhibit great attention to details. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel. • Willingness to develop skills and certifications through applicable industry organizations, such as NACE International. • Must be able to qualify for and maintain Operator Qualification (OQ) standards. Working Environment / Physical Demands • Travel will be a requirement. • Ability to drive off-road or a willingness to learn. • Some work will be in the field and remote wilderness locations. • You may be frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, reach, climb and bend. • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. • Must be able to pass a "Fit for Duty" physical and drug screening. Tree removal company based out of Shelby township servicing all of Macomb county. Looking for full and part-time laborers. Our crew runs 8:00 a.m. till roughly 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Time and a half for the 6th and 7th day if you want to work them in the same week. If the hours are too long, you can drive your own car to the job if you need to leave earlier. What we need is general laborers that can carry the logs out to the curb and drag the brush out to the curb to feed the chipper. It is a very laborsome job. If you have a chauffeur license I will move you up a dollar an hour. If you have a CDL class B or better no air brakes I will move you up another dollar an hour. If you have previous tree removal experience and can run a chainsaw, I will move you up another dollar an hour. Beginning pay is $15 per hour cash. You will get paid in cash every Friday. Not for the current week but for the previous week. We stay busy all the way till New Year although our days get a little bit shorter since It gets dark earlier.
