Small and established busy automotive repair shop seeking a service writer. This position will provide general customer service tasks such as answering the phone and assisting walk in customers. This position is responsible for pricing repair jobs and selling the recommended repair to the customer. The service writer will manage the flow of work for the shop and schedule repair and service jobs. Responsible for inventory management and ordering of parts by working with a variety of vendors. Automotive experience a plus but not required. Skills and qualifications required: - Computer skills (typing, email, navigating basic software applications) - High level of customer service - Ability to multi-task and problem solve - Valid WA drivers license - Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Davis Automotive is a Monday-Friday shop 8:00AM-5:00PM. The shop is closed major holidays. Field Technician will apply their skills as necessary to perform quality work on time and at or under budget. Duties and Responsibilities • Construction Industry experience is preferred. • Knowledge of foundation repair and applying surface coatings is preferred • Experience in grinding concrete, cutting concrete, and breaking concrete a plus. • Install epoxies and other liquid products on foundation walls, floors, and other larger flat surfaces. • Climb ladders, dig using hand tools and mini excavator, and haul material. • Painting, paint prep including sanding, caulking, and priming. • Work in confined areas such as crawl spaces. • Operate paint pumps. • Basic carpentry for forms and finishing. • Communicate with the Project Manager on progress at the job site. • Keep clean and organized job sites. • Maintain good working relationships with all company employees. Safety and Requirements • Keep all job sites clean and in order. • Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures. • Valid State issued driver’s license and use of vehicle to arrive at office.
