Part-Time/Seasonal Event Assistant Needed The Racquet Club at Scottsdale Ranch 9707 E Mountain View Rd. Are you passionate about serving people & being part of successful social events? The Racquet Club is seeking someone to assist with our community events. At The Racquet Club, we have many fun social events during the fall to spring season. The candidate for this position will help the Activity Coordinator with events to set up, decorate, food prep, greet guests, serve and clean up, as well as office duties when needed. Daytime, early evening and some weekend events are scheduled annually. Events include Tuesday movie nights, monthly parties, tennis tournament parties, lunches, casual and elegant dinners, an Afternoon Tea, an Art Show, pizza parties, Bbq’s and more. Pay rate: $15.00 per hour Schedule: Approximately 2-4 events per month, October to May. 2-3 hours for small events and 4-6 hours for larger events. Experience: Past customer service/food service experience is helpful but not required. Must enjoy being with people and working in a fun atmosphere. Requirements: Able to bend, walk up and down stairs, frequent standing and walking and lift up to 20 lbs. Lead by example at all times - knowledge of menus, professionalism with guests and staff, making decisions based on what is best for our guests and our restaurant, etc. Touch all tables and guests to ensure 100% guest satisfaction and rectify any negative impressions. Ensure standards for product quality and service are maintained at all times. Monitor and manage P&L to maximize long term profitability of the restaurant. Work with management team, corporate team and ownership to develop, implement and execute restaurant priorities. Help to hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively.  Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.  Consult with human resources as appropriate. Submit nightly shift notes on service, sales, negative impressions, anything needing to be repaired, etc. Ensure restaurant is at or above CooknSolo standards in terms of cleanliness; report any facilities repairs as needed. Take inventory of dry goods and place PJP orders weekly. Follow the Manager Opening/Closing task list depending on which shift you are scheduled for that day. The right candidate is exceedingly dependable, puts forth a great attitude, is looking to both learn and grow every day, and is committed to the tight team.  Candidates must have an open schedule.
