Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lawn Fertilization Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides to residential and commercial lawns, ensuring the health and vitality of our clients' landscapes. This role requires a strong understanding of lawn care practices, a commitment to safety, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
Apply various lawn care products, including fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides, according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
Diagnose and treat common lawn diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
Operate and maintain specialized lawn care equipment, including spreaders, sprayers, and vehicles.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding their lawn care needs, treatment plans, and any concerns.
Maintain accurate records of services performed, products used, and client interactions.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Provide exceptional customer service and foster positive client relationships.
Work independently and as part of a team to achieve daily and weekly goals.
Perform equipment maintenance and calibration as needed.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Indiana driver's license with a clean driving record.
Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or a related field is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Ability to obtain and maintain relevant state certifications (e.g., pesticide applicator license) within a specified timeframe.
Strong knowledge of various turfgrass types, common lawn weeds, diseases, pests, and effective treatment methods.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
