Responsibilities: General grounds-keeping maintenance to lawns, shrubs, trees, bedding plants, hardscape exterior surfaces, and playing fields (natural and synthetic) including but not limited to mowing, pruning, dead-heading, litter abatement, and weeding Responsible and safe application of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides, including maintaining appropriate education levels and certifications as necessary or required Use, care, and maintenance of manual and power equipment including but not limited to tractors, mowers, clippers, edgers, and blowers Renewal of planted and hardscape landscape as directed including but not limited to site preparation, planting, transplanting, soil amending, and mulching Safe and responsible operation of vehicles in the execution of daily duties amid a densely crowded campus to transport materials, equipment, and fellow gardenersOperate and maintain manual and power equipment such as mowers, tractors, clippers, edgers, and blowers Inspection, maintenance, and repair of campus irrigation systems and replacement as directed mplementation of landscape designs from plans or as directed for new spaces created as a result of construction Daily observation of outdoor campus safety, reporting trip hazards, inadequate lighting conditions, and any other safety or hazard potential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of two years of gardening and landscape experience Knowledge of common trees, plants, turf maintenance, and pest control methods. Looking for a seamstress who can work to make weighted blankets from their location, shop or home. Must cut and sew. Straight stitch sewing machine required, the manufacturer will pay for material and pay per piece. Right now looking for someone who can sew minky as well as cotton, or work with plush fabric. This is heavy work, good pay per piece work. We have someone who can train an experienced sewer. And this person has to be able to pick up and drop off and have transportation. Again this is hauling 50 lb bags of poly pellets and sewing 15 to 20 lb weighted blankets. We will be very busy now until the end of the over the holiday, and into 2026.
