Seeking a roommate to sublet a room in my 2br/1bath apartment in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. $1300/mo + utilities. Hoping to fill by 8/15 but flexible on move-in date -- I am prioritizing a good fit! Open to short or long term with the potential to renew in May of next year. The place: 1st floor unit with private access to a HUGE backyard. (I'm working on putting in a veggie garden -- fellow gardeners welcome!) Rooms are smallish but easily fit my full size bed, dresser, nightstand, and bookshelf (see photos). Spacious kitchen with separate living room. Lots of natural light throughout. 3 blocks from D and N express trains and R local (36 st station) -- quick ride to Manhattan! The hood: I'm new to this apartment but have lived in Sunset for 12 years -- I love it here! Family- oriented neighborhood with lots of restaurants and a few bars. We're 2 blocks from the park which has a rec center and a free pool! Me: I'm a 38yo woman working full time for NYC Parks. I work remotely a couple days a week. Pets: I love pets, but I love mine the most, and my cat Moonshine has expressly forbade me from welcoming additional animals. She's a great cat. Please be kind to her.
