🚨 Room Available in 2BR – Friendly, Laid-Back Roomie Wanted | Stuyvesant Heights, Bed-Stuy | $1,212.50/month + utils + monthly cleaning ---- Hi! I’m looking for a friendly, professional roommate in their 30s–40s to share my bright, calm 2BR apartment in Stuyvesant Heights, Bed-Stuy. The space is fully furnished (except your room), gets beautiful light, and is perfect for someone who wants a low-key, respectful home with a roommate they actually like:) The lease runs through May 31, 2026. Move-in is flexible - target is anytime between August 15 & Sept 15, with rent prorated based on your start date. **Note: The minimalist listing photos are from the original apartment listing — the furniture is different now. The images with plants, wine (lol) and exercise equipment are current. All the appliances are the same and in beautiful working condition. I’ll be taking updated photos this week and will share them with any good candidates. **The "gym" image is your room (it's the same room as the bedroom pictured without plants.) There's also a TV in the common room to the left of the treadmill that isn't pictured. I'm not exactly sure of the square footage of the apartment- it might even be 1000. I'd classify it as a "comfortably-sized two-bedroom." 🌿 APARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS -2BR / 1BA in a 3rd-floor walk-up -Central air, hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances -Fully furnished common areas + tons of natural light -Bedrooms overlook trees; lots of great storage. (Each bedroom has a closet, there's a hall closet and a large (former) laundry room. Laundry is NOT in the building, but we're 3 blocks from a laundromat. -Treadmill in the living room (you’re welcome to use!) -Responsive property management -1 block to the bus, 2 blocks to CitiBike, 15 min walk to the JMZ + A/C/E 👋 ABOUT ME: I’m a startup founder who’s career-driven, active, and grounded. I rock climb, lift weights, Citi Bike around Brooklyn, cook a lot, and love podcasts, crafts, and board games. I mostly socialize outside the apartment, but would be excited to co-host a casual dinner or game night every month or three. I've lived alone for years but have always been friends with past roommates and want to become real friends (who can also acknowledge and respect each other's space) with my new roomie! I also have a wide range of dried herbs and spices, plus a mini indoor-herb garden that I'm happy to share:) Cooking together sometimes would be great too! 🚫 WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW UP FRONT (NON-NEGOTIABLES) -I'm looking for a friendly, fun, athletic working professional in their 30s or 40s -MUST OPT INTO monthly cleaning service ($100/month incl. tip) -Must work Mon–Fri and be at least hybrid or in-office (NO FULL-TIME remote workers, just not what I want in this space) -No frequent overnight guests (occasional = fine; weekly stays are NOT a fit) -Apartment stays between 70–74°F (slightly cooler at night). If you run super hot or super cold (ie like it in the low 60s or 80s,) this would not be ideal. -Your room is currently a gym (:)) ( but will be unfurnished; common areas are shared -Move-in cost is $3,637.50 (first, last, and security) -No cigarette smoking or vaping of any kind in the apartment (I occasionally light palo santo or candles, but no cigarettes or vaping indoors. Occasional weed smoking is fine) -No hard drugs -I drink alcohol sometimes and have a large spirits collection - if you’re sober or in recovery, this isn’t the right fit 💰 RENT + MOVE IN INFO: -Move-in cost is $3,637.50, covering first month, last month, and your portion of the security deposit. The landlord will amend the lease to reflect this split. August rent will be prorated. -Utilities (electric, internet, etc.) are not included and typically run ~$100–150/month per person, split evenly. 📝 THE LANDLORD REQUIRES: -State-issued photo ID -Most recent W-2 or tax return -3 pay stubs and 3 bank statements -$20 application fee -Income of at least 40x rent (~$46K/year) or a guarantor earning 80x with a 700+ credit score If you’re positive, communicative, respectful, and looking for a peaceful home with a fun, friendly roommate, I’d love to hear from you.
