Also must know about materials and parts needed for repairs This is a full time job Monday- Friday 8am to 5pm and some weekends when there is an emergency. Job description We are looking for experienced subcontractors to join our team as Field Technicians specializing in Cat6 cabling installations within a commercial environment. If you are knowledgeable in telecommunications and network equipment, as well as willing to travel to various job sites daily, we want to hear from you! Position Details: Type: Subcontracting (1099 position; no benefits provided) Location: You must be able to travel up to a 70-mile radius of your location. 5 to 20 miles in is the normal distance Hours: Expect between 20 to 35 hours of work per week Start Date: Immediate Requirements: Experience: Extensive experience in commercial telecom equipment installations, specifically with Cat6 cabling. Familiarity with some fiber installations is a plus. No residential work experience will be considered. Knowledge of Network Equipment: A strong understanding of network equipment is essential. This includes proficiency in working with switches, routers, racks, access points (APs), and any other necessary network devices. Vehicle: A personal vehicle is mandatory. We do not supply company vehicles, so having your own transportation is essential. Tools: Technicians must possess their own tools necessary for cabling installations and troubleshooting calls. Travel: Willingness to travel daily to varying job sites, where tasks may include both small and large installations, as well as troubleshooting calls.
