Merchant Roots, a Michelin Recommended team in SOMA. Hiring Assistant FoH manager to join our current team NOW: Our concept is about Craft. It is by design and necessity whimsical, explorational, and never the same. We endeavor to rewrite the restaurant experience by serving food in a unique and challenging way quarterly. For each theme, we craft an immersive theme using multimedia, storytelling, and a symbiosis of serviceware and food, each dish an art project in itself. Our concept refers to our desire to get back to the roots of what we do, direct guest interaction, and to showcase direct pride in our craft and accomplishments. Our restaurant endeavors to set the quarterly challenge for ourselves of serving the menu of a restaurant that could never exist. We learn from our guests’ response so that we can continue to grow with them in development of this concept. We are currently seeking an assistant FoH Manager. This is an opportunity to help us cultivate bespoke guest experiences within an avant-garde program. Join us as we push the boundaries of fine dining service and advance our capabilities. Our restaurant is a unique operation, we endeavor to create a dinner party where staff and guests are all a part of the experience. We provide competitive compensation, $80,000 - $85,000 annually, based on experience. Salaried managers receive a full week’s paid holiday vacation at Christmas during our annual closure and 5 additional days PTO. We also provide full Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits with 401k matching up to 4%. Additionally, a quarterly dining credit is available. We believe in providing a living wage and a sustainable lifestyle to our staff. Requirements for this job are an open mind and a desire to learn and grow as part of a team. Some management experience preferred. Some fine dining and tasting menu experience required. Must be able to stand on feet for extensive period and lift up to 50lbs.
