Currently, we are looking for a Welder to work in our second shift team. The Welder at our Asbury Road facility who will be responsible for putting together component parts or pieces adhering to a specified set of blueprints or schematics. This position ensures customer satisfaction by providing safe, reliable operation of Eriez equipment that is intended to protect our customers and their customers.   This person will report to the 2nd Shift Supervisor. Responsibilities: Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead Set machine for welding (i.e. wire feed, amperage, etc.)  Prepares, assembles, fit and tack weld parts and surfaces to be welded Perform sanitary welding tasks efficiently Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage Operate overhead cranes, clamping devices, forklifts Operate plasma cutter and carbon arc. Able to operate tools including but not limited to hand tools, manual machine tools, torch, drill press, etc. Proficient in all T.I.G. welding procedures Requirements Have a welding tech degree/certificate or 2+ years of applicable welding experience - may consider if degree in process AWS D.1.1 Certification preferred Visually identify stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel and other materials           Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and use basic shop math including decimals and fractions  Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance and repair     High school diploma is preferred Have basic computer usage knowledge    **Need to qualify in Weld test** Benefits 401(k) Employer 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Hourly pay Range: $23.23/hr. to $25.55/hr. You will perform precision assembly of top of the line, leak proof components as part of a collaborative team utilizing weld prints under the supervision and training of our welding shop supervisor. Successful candidates will have prior experience in production welding as well as basic understanding of various metal properties. Responsibilities include but are not limited to reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to ensure assembly within acceptable tolerances; determine needed welds and methods and properly align components to make those welds; weld 14 and 16 gauge stainless components in rotation; make any needed repairs and cleaning to welded components. Pay for successful applicants is $22-$27 per hour based upon skills and experience. Most weeks include 48-50 hours. Hours after 40 are paid as overtime @ 1.5 your pay rate.
