Identifies and resolves complex troubleshooting issues. Provides guidance to more junior level technicians as needed. Perform service and repairs on fire sprinkler systems. Complete service acknowledgements electronically via ServiceTrade. Provide detailed comments in ServiceTrade of the service/repairs you made and take pictures before and after. Installation of new, retrofits, and tenant improvement type projects Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other field installers and helpers Read and interpret blueprints, in order to install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping. Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws and pipe threaders. Requirements At least four (4) years experience in field installation of fire sprinkler systems. Working knowledge of wet, dry, and pre-action systems as well as backflow and fire pumps Experience with installation of underground piping preferred but not required. Proficient in NFPA 13, 20 & 24 code requirements. Ability to read fire system design drawings Ability to use trade appropriate tools to perform daily pipe fitting duties efficiently and safety Ability to train others to use trade appropriate tools efficiently and safely. Knowledge of the fire protection industry Knowledge of OSHA safety standard. Requirements Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience. Pass a drug test & background check. Must understand English in a competent manner in order to clearly communicate questions, instructions or safety concerns to coworkers and supervisor. A valid driver’s license and clean MVR. Ability to perform multiple technical tasks to include operating equipment, adhering to safety practices, and planning/managing difficult tasks. Local building codes and safety regulations.
