Job Title: Automotive Team Leaders ​​​​​​Location: 14 1/2 and Mound, Sterling Heights MI Compensation: $20.00/hr (6:00 a.m - 2:00 p.m. (2nd shift: $20.00 + 0.75 cent shift premium) 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Please ONLY apply if you have Manufacturing Leadership experience. Shift: 1st shift (Mon-Friday 6 a.m. - 2:00 p.m 2nd (Mon-Fri 2:00pm-10:00 p.m.) **Weekends and over-time as needed** Job Category / Type: Full Time, with frequent over-time Industry: Automotive, Assembly Job Summary Supervises the activities of production personnel engaged in all facets of the manufacturing function. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Necessary Skills: Demonstrated leadership ability Sit-down propane forklift experience Job Description: Duties & Responsibilities Information: Ensures workstations meet all safety, 1+5S and TPM requirements by being actively involved with the assessment of all workstations per Quality and 1+5S guidelines Reviews all Method Sheets that apply to work performed within the department and facilitates training of all employees per proper Method Sheets and Training Procedures with HR Facilitates proper scanning of work orders within the Oracle Production System to ensure accurate production reporting and inventory; ensures all rework tickets are filled out and turned in to the proper department Influences team members by displaying a positive proactive work ethic that sets the standards for maintaining a safe, productive work environment while setting and maintaining high quality standards and striving for continuous improvement Functions as a working production team member as needed Maintains First5 Boards and conducts First5 Meeting in Supervisors absence Facilitates and helps maintain all lean enterprise initiatives, 1+5S, TPM, VSM requirements Signs off on all completed department outbound production prior to movement to the next level of production Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader Requirements Must have Manufacturing Leadership experience Must be willing to pass a National background check and a Drug test. The scope of this position includes all phases of production, including processing, packaging, case packing, and palletizing. We have an opening for a Production Supervisor on our Weekend PM shift, 7PM to 7AM, Friday, Saturday, Sunday at our Port Washington, WI location. The Production Supervisor leads employees to safely produce our customer’s product to the appropriate quality standard in a manner consistent with customer expectations and KTP’s policies and procedures.
