Description

Hello! MoPar Enthusiasts, Rejoice! Up for Your Purchase Considerations is this Timeless Beauty: A 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 in Dark Green Poly with a completely Original Black Bucket Seat/Console Factory Interior! Vintage 60's MoPar Goodness packaged and looking like this is a real treat, especially considering this example only has 57k original miles on it. The Originality is clear throughout, The Paperwork & Provenance Impeccable, The Upkeep and Improvements will be duly noted and finally, Performance is lurking behind the scenes! This description will be long and comprehensive, So here we go! Originally an ordered car back in November of 1966, by a Mr. Louie L. Sits of Gadsden, Alabama, Good Ole Lou knew what he wanted and got exactly what he ordered: A 383hp 4bbl, 727 Console Automatic, Factory Console Mounted Tachometer, Air-Temp A/C Equipped, Tinted Glass,Pwr Steering, Music Master Radio w/rear spkr., Light Group Pkg, Black Vinyl Top, Red Streak Tires 14x7.75 for a total of $3,950.50 on the window sticker! The Coronets paperwork trail includes: Original Sales Order, Window Sticker, Build Sheet, Certi-Card with Louies' name on it, Owners Manual, OEM Chrysler Corp. '67 Dodge Service Manual, and some of the paperwork that shows the Coronets improvements along its lifetime (including a Pro-engine rebuild & Perf. Dyno sheets!, can be provided by request) The Coronet is in exceptional condition for a car that is 58 years old. Sympathetic upkeep and replacement of parts is evident throughout the entire car. For example, Suspension components are tight, newer but original in appearance. Interior is mostly if not all original. Am radio has been fitted at some point with an FM receiver that you can "toggle" with the factory knobs. Tachometer works Great, Clock in dash does not. All lights and accessories/fans/switches are fully operational. The inboard amber/yellow glass lamps really contrast nicely with the Green exterior and set off a cool 60s period vibe! The Dark Green Poly Exterior Paint is Gorgeous. I was told this car was repainted once somewhere in the late 80s/early 90s which seems very plausible. It's not pristine perfect, has a few minor chips/imperfections, but had held up Very Well over the years. Panel, Hood, Trunk & Door Gaps are Excellent and Arrow Straight! Compliments from Folks are Constant wherever You go! The style is just Timeless. All the Stainless and Chrome trim are just real nice. Wheels are 16" Torque Thrust IIs, of the Polished Variety. Tires are Toyo Extensa HPs, 245/50/16's; Spare tire is also a NEW 16" steel rim (for a Dodge Grand Caravan, same bolt pattern) Rides Smooth & Effortlessly around town or at Speed on the Highway! 8 3/4 rear axle has 3.23:1 Sure-Grip gears. Works as it should! The Coronets STANCE, is darn near Perfect! The A-727 Torqueflite Automatic Shifts Well through all 3 speeds and has a Performance Stall Converter matched to the engines enhanced profile! (wink, wink!) 4 wheel manual drum brakes are in Good order and Honestly, stop quite well! Radiator has been rebuilt and so has the RANCO Water Heater control valve on the Firewall. All this functions well. A/C Compressor as well as some lines and the condenser have been refurbished to like/or as new. Previous owner stated A/C would not hold a charge...I found a main a/c line that was not tightened at all, so I suspect the culprit was this alone. New owner can decide whether to pony up for The R12 original stuff; Worth it in My Opinion just on the benefits of its efficiency of R12 over the R134a conversion, but ultimately up to the new owner. If you see it in person, it's verifiably in good condition. Ok, now the Engine Room! Original Drivetrain to the Coronet is still with it from front to back. The 383 "B" motor was treated to a High Performance Rebuild in the 2009 year time frame. Stroked to 408 cubic inches and topped off with Edelbrock RPM Aluminium Heads and a proper profiled Comp Camshaft, this Coronet is Suprisingly Fast! Still running a well dialed in points distributor, stock cast iron intake and a well tuned Carter 625 AFB, it all exits through cast iron exhaust manifolds into a beautiful "ACCURATE EXHAUST" branded factory correct reproduction system. There is more power on the table waiting to be had. Dyno Sheets included Illustrate this clearly!!! (466+hp/500ft-lbs of Tq!!!)More on that in a moment. So, as you have read, a pretty nice mix of originality and improvement for this Coronet. I had planned to make some meaningful upgrades that would only improve this car further, but will be unable to do so. Those with Serious Interest will discuss that further with me directly but until that time... If my Full asking price is met, the entire cache of Extras & Upgrades WILL go with the Coronet! I will not seperate anything to sell individually prior to the Coronet selling, so Please, Don't ask. It's Not Happening! Potential buyer has the option to negotiate a portion of the items if We agree mutually on a price. I have a number in mind without the extras, so lets talk. Listed Below are the following extras. All were Custom ordered with the mindset of Maximizing The Coronets total enjoyment/improvement as a package all while being tastefully done! -FBO Custom Curved Distributor & Electronic Ignition Conversion Package. Curved for THIS engine. Incl. "Low vac spec" distributor vac cannister, elect ignition stealth appearing voltage regulator, Pertronix Coil and Wires, New Autolite plugs ( 2 ranges to choose from) -Edelbrock Performer RPM intake (used, but nice) Mahle Intake Gaskets, New Edelbrock AVS2 800cfm 4bbl Carb. W/Elec. Choke + Throttle Cable Adapter. -Schumacher Mid-Length Tubular Headers. HARD TO FIND!!! Remflex Exhaust Gaskets. Also a Ball Collector Style installation & adapter kit to allow these to Integrate into the Accurate Exhaust Kit pipes nicely! -Borgeson Steering Box; Modified by Bergman Automotive with uprated column collar/rubber boot sleeve! This kit is made so You DO NOT have to cut your steering shaft to fit!!! A very nice setup indeed!!! All the Power Steering Lines are set up to Work with the existing pump and the nearby A/C bracketry!!! Very thorough and proper set up from Bergman! Nice, Helpful Owner with a fine product upgrade on this box. Jokingly speaking, 30:1 steering no more! Drivewise, this is a huge step up for the Coronets driver feedback of the road! LEEDS Manual Front DISC Brake Conversion Kit. NO Spindle Changes needed with this kit and fits under a 14" wheel if you went more stock appearing with wheels. 4 piston calipers, vented discs, Leeds prop valve OR I bought a Manual Disc Brake Specific Prop factory looking Prop. Valve from Dr. Diff to keep it looking correct. It'll be your choice when you install it. Some Final Extras that were with the Coronet when I got it: -PRW, sfi rated flexplate w/HD MoPar Grade bolts for the flywheel and the converter. -New Exterior Chrome Door Handles and Interior Console Light Bezels ( pairs of both) -Original 14" Redline Spare Tire -Misc. MoPar Stuff in a box... I think that covers it! I know, alot of detail! Hey, for this kind of asking price, you should get good detail! Asking $37,500 for the Coronet & The Entire list of Extras. Negotiable on the Coronet itself if you do not want the extras, or select a la carte item. I'm flexible within reason. I'm a True Enthusiast who knows his MoPar Stuff Well! I'm Not a Dealer! I have a clean and clear Illinois title to be signed over to the new owner and I can write up a Bill Of Sale upon request. I can assist in a transport pickup, at MY location, if it comes to that arrangement from afar. Bank to Bank verified wire transfer, will be the ONLY option unless You pay CASH in person. Paperwork and all items will be sent along once things clear and NOT Beforehand. I encourage you to come, look, see, inspect and discuss anything and everything. The Coronet will be sold in "As Is", where is condition, with no warranties or guarantees implied whatsoever! Serious Interested Parties should reach out to me DIRECTLY! I will respond with an initial text to inquiry, but after that it's "Person to Person" over the phone or In Person! NO Exceptions!!! Not interested in Trades, Dreamers, Tire Kickers, Fact Naysayers, Test Pilots, Scammers & BS'ers alike. Like most CL ads listed, I expect a typical scammer to want to buy my car in the first 5 minutes of it being listed! Thanks for reading this detailed listing. It is My Hope to Find a Good Home for this Very Cool Coronet!
