Custom Lifted 1997 GMC Sierra 1500 - $20,000 (Elizabeth)

Description

I am selling my custom 1997 GMC Sierra 1500. As you can see from the photos, this truck has been incredibly well taken care of. I purchased this truck in 2002 and have slowly built it into what you see today. The truck has been garaged kept ever since I owned it. I had aspirations at one time of turning this truck into a show truck. I stopped a little bit short of that because life happened (wife, kids, etc.) I am selling it because the truck is a toy that takes up garage space that we are soon going to need. As much as I love this thing, I think it's finally time for it to go to someone who will actually drive it and has space for it. The truck has maybe 5,000 miles on it over the past 8-10 years. We take it to get ice cream on the weekend or maybe make the occasional Home Depot run....that's about it. I'll do my best to describe everything. Exterior: In very good condition....only a few minor paint flaws that are difficult to spot. As you can see, I debadged the truck and color matched everything and added color matched fender flares. The truck has a 6" BDS suspension lift with new (less than 1,000 miles) 315/75/R16 Kanati Mud Hog tires and Dick Cepek DC-2 gloss black wheels. The tires still have the little flaps of flimsy rubber in between the tread. The truck has true dual exhaust (straight pipes all the way back) with 4" stainless steel tips. This truck is quite loud, but sounds very good. I can send you a video of a cold start if you'd like. Interior: In very good condition....only a few minor flaws in the carpet with one bad stain. There is an oil stain on the carpet that runs along side the passenger door. Otherwise everything works and is in great condition. Mechanical: Engine in very good condition. The truck just received its yearly state inspection and received a multi-point inspection as well. Truck just received a fresh oil change as well. Under the hood I have added a K&N cold air intake and recently gave the truck a tune up (new plugs, wires, rotor, distributor, and injectors). I replaced the water pump two years ago as well as the fuel pump. The truck has a low temperature thermostat installed (160F) so it runs cooler. I recently gave it a whole front brake job: OEM pads with slotted performance rotors and color matched calipers. I have replaced all of the exterior lights. The truck has a remote starter. Sound System: As I mentioned above, I had aspirations of turning this truck into a show truck. The sound system was one of the early things I did many years ago. The truck has a JVC head unit, Audiobahn 6" crossover speakers with tweeters in the doors, 4x6" Audiobahn plate speakers in the rear, two 10" Audiobahn aluminum subwoofers in a custom built box under the back seat with another 12" Audiobahn aluminum subwoofer firing upward sitting in the back seat. The subs are powered by a 4000 watt Audiobahn flame series amplifier and the speakers run off of their own 600 watt amplfier. There is a 1 farad Raptor capacitor between the amps and the battery. I installed an additional battery to support the sound system along with a battery isolator and a high-output 220 amp alternator. The overall sound system upgrade cost ~$3000. I'm sure there are some things I'm forgetting to list about this truck. I've done so many things to this truck to upgrade parts while keeping everything in great condition, that I've probably forgotten to list some thing. In general, I've treated this thing as good as anyone could possibly treat a truck. This was the first vehicle I ever purchased and I'm sad to see it go. I just hope it goes to a good owner who will take care of it the way it deserves. I'm happy to answer any questions or send additional photos or videos upon request. Shoot me a text or give me a call if you have questions.
