RED HOOK ON THE ROAD Free Class BPS Commercial Driver's License Training with Job Placement Assistance We are currently conducting remote Information sessions via the ZOOM Application on Thursday's at 12pm, which leads to our weekly Permit Preparation classes via ZOOM!! Please call us for more information! TO QUALIFY YOU MUST: 1. 21 Years or older. 2. Be unemployed 3. Have a valid NY State Driver's License for at least 2 years at the time of application. 3. Be able to attend class Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for 4 to 6 weeks. 4. Be legally eligible to work in the US. 5. Reside within 5 boroughs 6. Have a recent New York State Motor Vehicle Report (Abstract, less than 30 days old) or you can go online and fill out an interest form which will let us can obtain it for you for free. *You cannot have any suspensions within the past 2 years, speeding tickets, or a DWI/DUI on your record OR You cannot have more than 4 points OR 2 convictions on the driver history with no combination of the aforementioned. Red Hook on the Road is an intensive 4–6-week hands-on training program that will help you develop the skills necessary to start a career in the commercial driving field. Commercial drivers are employed in a variety of sectors including, but not limited to, School Bus Operators, Charter Buses, Coach Buses, Access-A- Ride and Truck Driver positions.
