Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Driver to join our excavation team. The CDL Driver will be responsible for safely transporting construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites, ensuring timely deliveries that support project schedules. The ideal candidate will have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), a clean driving record, and experience operating heavy vehicles in construction environments. Duties/Responsibilities: • Operate commercial vehicles (dump trucks, flatbeds, mixers, or other construction vehicles) in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. • Load, transport, and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any mechanical issues. • Follow delivery schedules and routes as assigned. • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery records. • Assist with basic loading/unloading tasks when required. • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, dispatch, and team members to coordinate deliveries. • Adhere to all safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle. • Performs other related duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B as required. • Proven experience driving heavy vehicles in a construction or similar environment. • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards. • Ability to read maps, GPS, and follow directions. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. • Physical ability to load/unload materials as needed. • Good communication skills and reliability. • Clean driving record preferred. WPX Delivery Solutions has scheduled courier routes available that begin and end at our Spokane, WA branch. Routes will be awarded by competitive bid to independent courier businesses who have an established driving business and operate their own commercially insured full sized cargo van, sprinter, or box truck (12 to 26 foot). Proof of existing business is required, including business license, business insurance, and proof of business taxes paid. Routes start early mornings Monday through Friday and some Saturday. Drivers pick up and deliver packages to and from customers in a manner that meets the customer’s schedule requirements and accurately account for all services performed daily via electronic manifests. All drivers must possess excellent customer service skills, pass a drug screen, a seven year background check, provide credentials proving they are authorized to work in the US, be able to read, write, and speak English clearly, lift up to 70 pounds, and have a clean driving record.
