Compensation: $23.01 Worksite Location: Various campuses Overview / Job Summary: The Career Pathway Recruiter is essential in strategizing, implementing, and facilitating recruitment efforts for career pathways within WSU Tech. You will work closely with prospective students and community partners to identify and attract individuals to our programs that lead to meaningful careers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to: Promotes WSU Tech as an educational option with a focus on (but not limited too) potential new adult students. Develop and grow partnership strategies with employers offering tuition reimbursement or workforce development programs and drive adult learner enrollment Maintains student files, communicates with prospective students, to ensure information is being dispersed.  Facilitates the admissions process by assisting potential new students with applications and connecting to subsequent steps.  Capable of public speaking to groups of varying ages (elementary to adult) and sizes. Provides campus tours and conducts information sessions to individuals/groups. Effectively utilizes tools of communication, including email, telephone, face-to-face meetings, and electronic advising notes. Maintains knowledge of all College programs and resources. Acts as liaison between appropriate Academic Advisor and student to encourage transition from inquiry to enrolled.  At all times, engages in and promotes teamwork, interdepartmental communication, courtesy, legal compliance, policy compliance, and safety in the WSU TECH workplace. As the Career Pathway Recruiter, you will play a pivotal role in assisting students in making informed decisions about their education and future careers. Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of experience in higher education or related fields such as recruitment, admissions, talent acquisition, sales, student services, or school counseling preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including students, faculty, and staff. Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence others, present ideas clearly, and gain support for initiatives. Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and ability to work independently. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; proficiency in standard computer applications. Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Detail-oriented, with a willingness to take initiative, contribute creatively, and implement new ideas. Reliable transportation required to travel between service sites as needed. Below are the duties: • First person to answer the phone • Running ads in Indeed, Craigslist, and LinkedIn, etc. for jobs • Checking emails and reviewing resumes to call on a daily basis • Administer application via email to candidates then doing onboarding paperwork when hired • Input applications into our CRM system accurately • Collecting everyone’s timecards weekly and input into Excel spreadsheet (MUST KNOW EXCEL) • Keeping up with LinkedIn and other social media for updates on Staff Connection, Inc. • Conducting face-to-face zoom interviews and taking notes • Calling inactive accounts to see if they can be reactivated • Helping with accounts receivable when necessary Plus, other duties as assigned but mainly what you see above In order to be successful in this position besides the above experience, you have to be humble, service minded, very friendly yet professional. Must have excellent command of the English language and good with numbers and be computer savvy. We will train on policies and procedures of the position, but not train for a recruiter, you need to have experience doing full cycle recruiting.
