We go above and beyond to remove stress in all interactions and make things a little easier for all we serve.  The Parts and Supply Specialist is responsible for managing the purchasing, tracking, and inventory of parts and materials across multiple departments, ensuring accurate usage and cost allocation through electronic systems. They play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency by monitoring stock levels, reconciling orders, and supporting data-driven decisions on inventory based on usage trends, availability, and fleet impact.  Compensation:   $28.00 - 38.00 / Hour  Benefits:  Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance  401k with matching  Annual pay raises  Quarterly safety performance bonuses  Holiday pay  Uniforms provided  Paid Time Off with increasing amounts based on your years of service  Paid DOT medical card & physicals  Responsibilities:  Maintain, track, and analyze all parts and material purchases within designated electronic systems.  Make recommendations to either continue, discontinue, or dispose of stock based on utilization criteria, lead times, availability, and critical impact on fleet.   Ensure proper accounting for each stock listed item as they are removed from stock and installed or consumed. This will include charging parts and materials to the correct accounting string and client account. Ensure applicable taxes, core, and shipping charges are applied appropriately in designated computer systems.   Use computer-based systems to issue, post, retrieve and research parts inventory data.  Inspect parts and materials to ensure the correct stock was received and is undamaged.   Adjust stock levels as stock is received, issued, or disposed.   Order parts, materials, and supplies in support of Fleet, Facilities, Operations and Training/Safety   Reconcile receipts and invoices daily to ensure proper accounting and prompt payment.  Maintain active inventory for all satellite locations.   Set up and maintain vendor accounts.  Perform quarterly inventory count and consumption reporting, make recommendations to increase or reduce stock levels based on reporting mechanisms.  Develop and maintain tracking mechanisms for back ordered (deferred) parts.  Develop and maintain tracking mechanisms for Vehicles Down for Parts (VDP) as well as reporting mechanism for VDP rate.   Develop, maintain, and report on tracking mechanism for core charges, discounts, and shipping cost monthly.  Other duties as assigned.   Requirements:  Must be at least 21 years of age  Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record  Current/Active DOT Medical Card  Must pass pre-employment DOT drug test  Able to communicate proficiently in English  Able to work independently, yet able to take direction  Able to pass a criminal background check  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills  Ability to follow established processes and maintain accurate records  Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team  TransWest Culture: Come join our close-knit team.
