Western Specialty Contractors is expanding our Roofing team in Austin, TX. Pay range is $20-$35 per hour, depending on experience. We are currently looking for candidates with at least two years of commercial roofing experience. As a commercial roofer, you will: Report to jobsite on time and ready to work Perform daily work tasks in a safe and conscientious manner Utilize hand and power tools as needed to perform tasks Working on a crew to install commercial flat single ply roofing materials in the Central Texas area Other tasks as required Requirements At least two years of experience in commercial roofing Follow specific directions; perform a variety of duties which may often change; work within standards of accuracy; repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure; evaluate information using measurable standards. Identify existing and predictable hazards to work surroundings, including working conditions that are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous to employees. Must be able to demonstrate sufficient reading, writing and math skills to comprehend and explain company safety policies and material instruction The ability to read drawings is necessary Communicate effectively in order to supervise employees and maintain customer relations. Physically, workers must be able to: Stand or walk for long periods; lift and carry materials weighing 50 pounds or more; climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment; and see (naturally or with correction). Abilities to work at heights, at extreme temperatures, and to wear company's safety equipment are essential. Responsibilities Assemble cabinetry components such as cabinet doors and drawer fronts. Operate machinery such as sanding machines, shapers, and saws. Collaborate with team members to streamline production processes. Requirements Five years of woodworking or cabinetmaking experience in manufacturing environment is required High school diploma or GED equivalent. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently. Ability to learn and use a variety of woodworking tools and equipment. Excellent time-management and organizational skills. Demonstrate and perform proper climbing techniques and procedures, pruning skills, application of approved knots and rigging techniques. Operate all equipment in a safe manner Requirements 5-7 years industry experience in residential tree care with the ability to train/direct crew members in all facets of tree care. Knowledge of native and introduced tree and shrub species and characteristics of each species. Knowledge of tree bio-mechanics and advanced rigging techniques Knowledge of proper pruning practices including large shade trees and ornamentals. Knowledge of chain saw safety and operation. Adept in tree climbing techniques & bucket truck operation. Knowledge of ANSI A300 and safety standards. Perform quality workmanship and quality control with customer care attitude. Valid Driver’s License, CDL license preferred Benefits $32 to $40 per hour based on experience.
