Dreamscape Learn, a pioneer in the realm of immersive virtual reality learning design, is actively seeking a creative and detail-oriented Technical Artist to bring VFXs, shaders, lighting, animation, in-engine cinematics, and other game effects to life. This role requires expertise in industry-standard software, creativity, and strong collaboration skills. Expectations are strong artistic skills with technical knowledge of the Unity game engine.  Role and Responsibilities: Art Optimization: Converting 3D models, textures, and animations into game-ready formats for both PC and mobile, optimizing polygon counts, texture resolutions, and rendering techniques to achieve performance goals for multiple device platforms.  Shader Creation: Writing shaders to achieve specific visual effects like lighting, reflections, and particle systems, tailoring them to the capabilities of different target platform devices.  Technical Art Implementation: Integrating artwork into game systems like character animation, level design, and user interfaces, ensuring visual consistency and proper functionality.  Pipeline Development: Creating and maintaining custom tools and scripts within the game engine to streamline art workflow, including asset import pipelines, material creation systems, and procedural generation techniques.  Performance Analysis: Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks related to visual elements, collaborating with programmers to optimize game rendering and frame rates.  Collaboration: Working closely with artists to understand design intentions and translate them into technical solutions, communicating effectively with programmers to implement art assets correctly within the game engine. Requirements 3+ years of professional experience as a Tech Artist in gaming or a similar industry.  Proficiency with key tools such as Unity, Houdini, Photoshop, and Maya (or equivalent software).  Strong understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, animation, lighting, and composition to develop tools, pipelines, and maintain visual quality.  Knowledgeable of writing scripts in C# and Python.  Strong research skills with the ability to source, analyze, and creatively interpret historical, scientific, and existing references to inform artistic work.  Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to art integration and performance optimization.  Clear communication with both artists and programmers to translate design concepts into technical implementations.  Adaptability to an evolving art direction and willingness to learn new software tools and processes Preferred Skills: Experience creating assets optimized for both high-end and low-end devices, ensuring performance and visual quality across various platforms.   Benefits Compensation $ 100,000 - $ 115,000 per annum Health/ dental/ vision insurance Employee Assistance Program Unlimited PTO Perks at work Dreamscape Learn is firmly committed to cultivating an inclusive and diverse workplace, and as an equal opportunity employer, we encourage applications from all eligible candidates.
