Job Summary We are seeking an upbeat individual who will be responsible to support the Quality Control Division! This includes testing and inspecting PVC and HDPE products at various stages of production. Emphasis will be placed on the checking and testing of products throughout the production process, recording the results and compiling reports to detail the results. Position Offers Pay: $23.50 per hour The position is a Full-Time, Permanent Position with Comprehensive Benefits 8 paid holidays every calendar year Plant annual bonus program Work schedule: 8hr shift; Sun – Thurs 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Principal Responsibilities Perform tests on manufactured products to identify the degree of compliance with company and third-party standards. Record all testing results and communicate results to affected parties Conduct production inspections and maintain records of production inspections Identify areas of quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly. Incumbent will be responsible to optimally operate QC equipment to include: Faro Arm, Burst Test System, Heat Reversion Oven, Flattener, and other QC equipment Able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications Responsibly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Maintain a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures Must be eager to learn, self-motivated to work independently and have good written and verbal communication skills Other duties as the need arises and/or assigned. Requirements Qualifications & Experience Strong aptitude for numerical calculations and analytics Be 18 years of age or older. High School graduate or equivalent. Experience using QC equipment for pressure testing is helpful Tools and Equipment Capable of using dimensional gauges and tools to measure PVC and HDPE products. Incumbent will be required to operator a forklift Work Environment Incumbent spends 100% of their time in a manufacturing plant environment requiring varying degrees of physical labor. Lifting, pulling, pushing heavy objects (20-50lbs), standing for long periods and walking are required. Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, dust, noise levels and the use of equipment such as sharp blades and presses. Considerable amount of sensory attention is required. Limited control of work pace and unexpected workflow bring considerable stresses to this position. Looking for an individual for Delivery Driver and Warehouse Worker for our cabinet shop. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, hard-working, a team player and takes pride in their work! Duties will be occasional deliveries in box truck, clean up, packaging finished product for shipping, restocking building materials, and being a general helping hand for builders and machine operators. Job responsibilities may grow after time. Forklift experience required and must have the physical ability lift heavy objects. Job Summary This position will be responsible for assembling and maintaining equipment to ensure they are meeting production and quality expectations. This includes, but not limited to, start ups of products, changeovers, and troubleshooting tooling related issues. This role should be knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures associated with the industry and company standards. Fabricate, build, clean, and repair tooling as the need arises. Show expertise in working with team and independently. Train and teach Process Controllers. Collaborate and assist with production material trials and new products. Supervise and maintain output and run conditions to specified standards. Regularly inspecting, cleaning and performing maintenance on machinery to keep in quality working order. Complete accurate documentation and quality requirements. Build an extensive knowledge of the operation, safety features, and process steps. Other duties as delegated. Work involves both routine and non-routine tasks within well-defined standards. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or GED preferred. 2-4 years’ experience as a Set Up Technician or Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience working with extruders preferred. Experience using Powered Industrial Vehicles and hand tools. Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to stand for long periods. Physical requirements Able to lift at least 50 pounds. Capacity to stand, lift, and perform for extended periods The ability to wear all required PPE including not restricted to safety glasses, hearing protection. Ability to work 12-hour shifts. Ability to perform repetitive motions CONTACTS The incumbent interacts daily with the Manager, Team Coordinator and Operations Personnel. Daily interaction could be vital with the Production Planner, MSG Manager, Quality Control Manager, Plant Manager and Production Manager. Occasional contact may be required with other plant departments. WORKING CONDITIONS The physical effort required is considerable due to heavy physical activities of various kinds. The physical environment including but such as but not confined to exposure to various substances or equipment this includes among others moving machinery, repetitive motions, noise, powered industrial equipment. Regular work is performed in a non-controlled temperature environment. These exposures could produce discomfort and/or moderate risk of accident or ill health. The sensory attention is deemed moderate because of often requiring increased demand on two or more senses at a time. The mental stress is considered moderate due to regular pressures from due dates, quotas and accuracy. Perform preventative maintenance as outlined by equipment manuals. Knowledge of safe maintenance procedures including Lockout Tag out. Maintain up to date documentation of maintenance activities. Maintain an inventory of consumables. Maintain a clean workspace and keep all parts/spares/tools stored in designated areas. Maintain a database of notes and/or procedures that are not documented in the maintenance manuals. Communicate tool status to FAB supervisor to schedule maintenance. Experience with vacuum pumps, vacuum chambers, RF energy, high voltage, and high purity gas systems is preferred but not required. Good written and verbal communication skills Strong computer knowledge such as but not limited to Microsoft products. Strong attention to detail. Strong ability to work well in a group atmosphere and comply with high quality standards. Strong ability to shift from one task to another to address changing production priorities.
