GLISS General Labor & Industrial Staffing Solutions is hiring production associates for our client, a company with a strong emphasis on safety, growth opportunities, and excellent benefits. Located approximately 15-20 minutes outside of Salem, OR, our client's facility specializes in manufacturing engineered wood joists, laminated veneer lumber, and assembling job packages for direct delivery to construction sites. Wage - $21.30 - swing shift $21.80 - graveyard shift A Production Associate’s typical day may include: • Manufacturing Laminated Veneer Lumber. • Assembly of I-Joists. • Operation of machinery, such as press, saws, finger jointer, and gluer. • Use of various tools such as circular saws, nail guns, and staple guns. • Assembly of various construction accessories for comprehensive framing packages. • Following guidelines for product assembly and/or manufacturing. • Inputting information into computers to track material and work orders. Minimum Qualifications: • Safety and quality-conscious with a drive for excellence. • Team player with a positive attitude, contributing to department production goals. • Ability to read and understand shop details and job instructions. • Proficiency in reading a basic tape measure. • Maintains excellent working relationships and has strong communication skills. • Must be able to work overtime when scheduled. • Must be 18 years of age. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Must be punctual and reliable. • High School Diploma or GED (not required, but a plus!) • Bilingual in English/Spanish (not required, but a plus!)
