POSITION SUMMARY Are you a budding mechanic with a keen interest in both traditional and emerging automotive technologies? At MCI, we're looking for Mechanic III team members to join our dynamic Service Center, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining our diverse fleet of buses and coaches. This entry-level position is perfect for those with 1-3 years of experience in the automotive or diesel industries, and who are eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Basic Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as brake changes, tire rotations, and replacements. Conduct preventative maintenance including lubrication and oil changes. Component Disassembly and Reassembly: Assist in the removal and installation of seats, glass, and other components. Disassemble and reconnect harnesses and lines as needed for repairs. Suspension and Braking Systems: Support suspension maintenance tasks, including the replacement of suspension components, and perform basic inspections and repairs on braking systems. Electrical Systems and Diagnostics: Develop your skills in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, ensuring all components function correctly and efficiently. Safety and Precision: Adhere to all safety practices, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of all tools and materials.  WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Technical Expertise: 0-3 years of experience in automotive, diesel, or related fields. Familiarity with engine, driveline, and electrical systems is preferred. Tool Proficiency: Basic knowledge of hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Willingness to learn advanced diagnostic devices and shop tools. Safety and Collaboration: Strong understanding of safety practices and effective use of personal protective equipment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
