Your will be working inside newly built extravagant homes in luxurious Phoenix area communities. We design, manufacture, and install premium Euro-Style cabinetry and wood millwork products (see pics). This position is the most important step in our process - the highly professional installation of our custom cabinetry and wood millwork. Advanced technology is used whenever possible. This includes self leveling Visi-Lasers, 3D-Printed scribe tools, advanced plinth leveling systems, magnetic kicks, lifting jacks, and so on. You are provided a WiFi/Cell Tablet to access company drawings, job details, punch items, and so on. Qualified techs are often provided a high roof van as a company vehicle. Because of the size of these homes, work is done one room at a time. The products are protective wrapped and delivered right to the room (see pics). You might also install kitchen islands, ceiling beams, decorative panels, bars, even a bunk bed system. Independently build and integrate complex optical, vacuum, mechanical, and electrical hardware with minimal instruction. Create and review technical solid models and drawings Lead design reviews and incorporate remarks into drawing revisions Develop inspection methods and create inspection forms for custom parts Support product and part management, including creating ECOs for products Conduct inspection throughout manufacturing processes to ensure proper build and that quality standards are achieved Perform receiving and in-process inspections of mechanical, electrical and optical components and subassemblies using a variety of instruments Perform maintenance and housekeeping activities to ensure a clean and safe work area Support production line maintenance, continuous improvement, and troubleshooting Identifies and works with other team members on process improvements Other duties or projects as assigned Requirements Minimum 4 years’ experience in precision hardware assembly (optics, vacuum, or high-reliability electromechanical systems) Associates or bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or related fields Demonstrated ability to work independently with incomplete instructions, leveraging engineering drawings, models, and prior experience. Experience with handling of delicate components and equipment, including precision optics, semi-conductor, and fiber optic components Experience training and mentoring others in technical assembly or inspection. Strong understanding of manufacturing quality principles (inspection, GD&T, traceability, process documentation). Comfortable balancing hands-on fabrication with process improvement and knowledge transfer.
