A Machine Operator ensures that the final product complies with the company's quality standards which includes the reliability, usability and performance of the product. In general, these detail-oriented professionals are responsible for using tools to perform hourly checks to ensure quality standards are met and the equipment is running properly. KEY RESPONSIBILITES: Safety: maintain a safe work environment through training, adherence to policies and housekeeping. Carry out production, inspection, packaging and machine operation duties Effectively monitor production equipment Make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance and quality Troubleshoot issues and perform routine maintenance on equipment Perform quality control checks, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor Minimum 18 years of age. Must possess basic computer skills. Must be able to work independently with written or verbal instructions. Compliance with all Safety, TS 16949, and ISO 9000 requirements. Working knowledge of 5S. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to operate overhead hoist and any other equipment necessary to perform duties. Able to operate a forklift and pallet jack. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for most of the shift. Some climbing, crawling, and/or kneeling may be required. Valid driver's license needed.
