We are an after school programs in the Northern Virginia, DC, Maryland area looking for instructors, teachers, and coaches to teach classes in our fall programs in schools throughout the area. Specifically, we are looking for instructors to teach at a year long program in Bethesda, Maryland(8617 Chateau Dr, Potomac, MD 20854) The classes run from 1:40 PM -3:10PM. The program starts in late August and runs through the end of June. It is pays between $60-$80 per class. The instructors we are most looking to hire are: -Robotics/Computer Science -Lego Building -Art/Arts and Crafts/Painting -Hip Hop -Cartooning -Chess -Coding -Performing Puppets -Zumba -Fiber Arts -Secret Agent Lab -Science -Fun with circuits -Adventures for boys and girls Requirements We are looking for instructors who have experience working with elementary aged kids, are responsible and flexible, have reliable access to a car (as many of of programs are not located near bus/metro stops), and are punctual and dependable. One of the most important things is not only teaching a fun enriching class, but also following all protocols that exist from school to school. Instructors should be working on a degree or have a degree.

About the Role In order to achieve its ambition of serving 80,000-100,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven is hiring a Director, Fellow Communications to develop and manage an integrated communication strategy that ensures every one of our students (called Fellows) receive clear, engaging, and impactful messaging across all Braven programming to drive student engagement and success in our program.  As a member of the Program Operations team within the Product team, you will be responsible for creating and executing a holistic communication system that streamlines messaging to Fellows across multiple touchpoints, including onboarding, in-course updates, post-course programming and beyond. In addition, this person will drive Braven’s social media strategy for Fellows, ensuring that we build a stronger brand presence that attracts and engages students across digital platforms. This role reports to, Vice President of Program Operations, and works cross-functionally with the broader Program Operations team, Design, Communications & Marketing, Systems & Data, and Regional teams. What You’ll Do Develop and Manage a Unified Fellow Communications System (60%) Create and execute a centralized communications system that delivers clear, engaging, and timely messages to Fellows from pre-course (Accelerator) onboarding through post-Accelerator engagement. Eventually this will also include an alumni strategy. Develop and maintain a single, reliable system for Fellow communications, coordinating cross-functionally to ensure smooth execution. The goal is to provide information and support to these families in accordance with the Performance Standards of Head Start to ensure children are raised happy, healthy, and ready to learn. We are seeking a Home Visitor to support children and families through the creative facilitation of home visiting and socialization activities, application of early childhood assessments, screenings, individualized lesson plans, and identification of client needs and the community resources that can help them achieve their goals. Home Visitors will also play a lead role in maintaining case files and data entry from the intake to the program completion stage.
