In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting inspections on vehicles to ensure they comply with Texas regulations regarding safety and emissions. Your expertise will help maintain the safety of the roads and protect consumers from faulty vehicles. Key Responsibilities Perform thorough inspections of vehicles according to Texas state laws and regulations. Evaluate key safety systems including brakes, lights, and emissions systems. Identify defects and recommend corrective measures to ensure compliance. Keep detailed records of inspections, findings, and actions taken. Effectively communicate inspection results to vehicle owners and advise them on necessary repairs. Stay updated on current Texas state inspection data and changes in regulations. Requirements Current Texas State Inspector Certification is mandatory. Previous experience in vehicle inspection or automotive repair is highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of Texas inspection regulations and automotive safety standards. Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective customer interaction. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Physical capability to perform inspections and work in various weather conditions. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
